The Queen Magazine - Norman Parkinson
The Queen Magazine
Cover: Norman Parkinson
The cover is presented in an unusual way with the main image of the model being on the reverse cover....with Norman parkinson himself appearing on the front cover with the rear angle view of the model in a wool coat. A fresh touch.
We must stress, that although a RARE copy and one we part with somewhat hesitantly, this issue is far from perfect. Please read the condition report below.
Within this issue:
A half page image of the actor Alan Davie by John Hedgecoe
A feature on the Sicilian Mafia with images by Sergio Larrain
A 1 page image of Susan Coles by Sandra Lousada
A 2 page report on the first night in London of 'The More the Merier' with images by John Cowan includes a large image of Margaret Leighton
Fashion:
Silk story at the London Collections - 5 pages of fashion editorial by John Adriaan
Country convertables - 2 pages of fashion by Terence Donovan
Condition: The magazine is in rather poor condition.
The spine of the issue has completely perished. The magazine itself is broken into at least two parts. WE have handled the issue with great care since ownership, but it is safest to assume that the magazine is more a collection of pages than a magazine. Many pages are loose. All pages are present and this should be of interest for those wishing to scan or study 60s fashion.
The cover itself has a crease line and general wear
