HOW MUCH WILL POSTAGE COST ME? (FOR USA PLEASE SEE THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE )

The weight of each magazine can vary greatly from one issue to the next. For example, one issue of POP magazine may weigh the same as 15 issues of the Sunday Times!
Postage is dependant on where you live and how heavy the consignment will be.
Items posted within the UK will cost a minimum of £3.25 and a maximum of £10.95.
Postage outside the UK will be calculated at checkout upon entering your address details. You do not have to proceed with your order at this stage.

HOW ARE THE MAGAZINES DELIVERED TO ME?

For reliability and convenience, we use Royal Mail within the UK. This means if you are not at home during the day you can collect the item from your post office on a day convenient to you. We post with second class signed for unless otherwise arranged. Items will require a signature. It may be possible to offer Next Day delivery if this is discussed in advance.

Outside of the UK, we use Royal Mail up to 2 Kilo in weight. Items heavier than 2 Kilo will be sent using UPS. In both cases, the item will require a signature upon arrival.

CAN I BUY MORE THAN ONE COPY OF A MAGAZINE?

Over many years of collecting, it's highly possible that we have more than one copy of an issue available. However, for the sake of getting the item that you see listed for sale, in some cases, the quantity shown may be just one. This does not mean we only have one, and when items are thoroughly checked over the course of the coming months, the quantity available may indeed increase. In the meantime, we are more than happy to be contacted at info@magazinecanteen.com to discuss possible multiple purchases.

I AM LOOKING FOR A CERTAIN MAGAZINE NOT SHOWN. DO YOU HAVE IT?

Quite possibly. The website will show larger collections of various titles. However, there are many more magazines in the archive not currently listed on the website. Please email me with any ‘wish list’ and we can see if we have what you need.

WHY DO THE PRICES DIFFER SO MUCH FOR SIMILAR MAGAZINES WITHIN ONE COLLECTION?

The aim of the website is to provide the very best condition copy of a magazine you could find. Over the course of almost 30 years collecting, you learn that condition of magazines can range vastly.
The price quoted will reflect a variety of factors. A 20-year awareness of an individual items worth, it’s rarity, condition, and also the pulling power of either the title itself or that month’s cover star.

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN BUYING MAGAZINE COLLECTIONS?

Please feel free to email us at Info@magazinecanteen.com - if you have a magazine collection you wish to sell. Photographs, description and the price you are hoping for would be very useful.

CAN YOU PROVIDE ME WITH SCANS FROM A MAGAZINE?

Unfortunately, no. Our aim is to provide magazine enthusiasts with the physical item of a magazine. We do not offer a search and scan facility.

CAN YOU SEND ME IMAGES FROM A CERTAIN MAGAZINE?

With regret, no. We currently have an inventory of almost 30,000 magazines on the website. As much information as possible has been added to the details of each product description and this is something which we are continually improving. We simply do not have the time to retrieve magazines from the archive to send over images from within magazines via email or social media.

I BOUGHT A MAGAZINE IN ERROR - CAN I RETURN IT?

Magazines purchased are unable to be returned for a refund or exchange. We would ask that the issues you are choosing to buy are the ones you require. If you are unsure that the magazine you wish to buy is the one you need - please ask us prior to purchase and we shall do our best to reply promptly.

UPDATE - POSTAGE TO THE USA

As of July 2020 The postage price to the USA from the UK has jumped up considerably. For any magazine which does not meet the 'large letter' criteria, the price has sadly almost doubled in price!  This is not great news. For example, whilst a thin magazine such as Smash Hits will fit into a small letter - something equally thin such as The Sunday Times will now fall into the Small Parcel category. Unfortunately the price of this is now extremely high.

For magazine orders from 750g to 2 Kilo ( and above ) we are now forced to send this using UPS. This is now actually less expensive than standard mail. The cost from 750g up to 2kilo is now around £28 using UPS

This is now cheaper than the standard post, but is in fact much quicker and more reliable. We might suggest that adding a few magazines to your cart may now cost the same to post as just one.
