Placing an order with Magazine Canteen.

Browse a category from any of the major collections shown across the top of the screen. Smaller collections will appear with a simple search. Our search facility is now only available to our regular buyers. ( contact us if there is any item you know you need )

If you place “quotes” around two words you will see a more detailed list of your desired search. For example “Tom Hardy” will show only magazines with Tom Hardy whereby Tom + Hardy without “quotes” may show magazines that feature both Tom Cruise and Robert Hardy

Adding to cart

At any stage you see a magazine you desire, simply add this magazine to cart using the ‘add to cart’ button. This is a one click action. If you require more than one copy - simply increase the number before you add to cart ( providing we have more than one in stock ) You can delete as many items as you wish at the checkout page.

Postage costs. 

All consignments are charged by the weight of your parcel and this will be calculated at checkout. We must stress that for very heavy and large orders of more than 50 issues, postage quoted will be expensive ( it is very tricky maintaining and up to date postage quotation for each country for multiple weights! ) If the postage quoted is excessively higher than the actual cost, once booked. We will refund the difference upon despatch.  

How do I pay for my order?

Payment is simple. We accept all major credit/debit cards including Mastercard, Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, American Express using the Shop Pay payment platform. A high level of encryption is used and we do not personally see nor keep your full card details. For customers using Apple Pay or Google pay this could not be easier. Simply use your one step payment completion with your fingerprint. If using this method, please ensure that your current delivery address is correct. 

Can I pay in my own currency?

All magazines offered for sale on Magazine Canteen are priced in UK pound sterling. The total price paid will be debited in Sterling. The transaction amount will be debited from your account at the current rate of exchange for your country.

How do I know if my order has been successful?

As soon as you have placed an order, you will be presented with an ‘order successful’ page and you will also receive a delivery email address at the email you have supplied with you order. Please ensure this is correct as all future emails will be sent to the original email address used for your order at the time of checkout. If you do not receive this, please contact us.

Will my magazines be safely packaged?

At the time of being checked and uploaded to our website, all magazines are placed in waterproof, sealed archival sleeves. When posted, your magazine will be sent with stiff card, boarded or padded envelopes with plenty of protection. As a magazine enthusiast with a lifelong devotion to magazines, your magazine will be handled with great care.

When can I expect my order? UK & International Orders

We post quickly! Your order will usually be packed the same day. We despatch items several times a week. Once your order is packed and labelled we may add your tracking information to the order status a little before it has left. This helps our admin but your tracking information will be updated once it has been received by the courier. You will automatically receive an email once we have completed your order. 

For individual magazines, and for light orders weighing less than 1kilo, your order will be posted using the EVRI postal service. ( Evri.com ) This is the most cost effective service for a single magazine. To discuss express courier service for just one magazine, please contact us in advance of your order.

For customers in the UK, a delivery with EVRI  will usually be delivered a few days after the item is handed over to the courier. 

For international customers, EVRI will hand the parcel to the most suitable local postage provider in your area. We post to multiple countries worldwide and it is not possible to list every postal service located across the globe. A tracking number will be assigned to your parcel, and this will show when it has been delivered only. Delivery is estimated to be between 7-14 days*. 

For large orders and heavy items weighing more than 2 Kilo, we post as a parcel using FedEX or UPS. Delivery worldwide is usually within 3-5 days*, and this will be tracked at each stage of its journey. Tracking will be added to your despatch email notification.

Sales Tax Upon Delivery. 

Magazine Canteen is based in the United Kingdom ( UK ) - All prices quoted on the website are in UK pound sterling. We post throughout the globe with shipping calculated at checkout which includes the delivery cost only. 

As the UK is no longer part of Europe, we are unable to be held responsible for any tax which may be incurred upon delivery to countries outside the UK.  This situation is different for all countries throughout the world, and is out of our control. If a delivery tax is charged, this may include and administration fee from your countries postal service. 

As of 2025, we have noticed that all orders despatched to Canada are now incurring a taxable surcharge. Please be aware that you may be contacted by the postal provider to pay import duty tax before your item moves from the UK to Canada. Failure to complete this may result in the order being returned to us. If so, your order will be refunded, minus the postage price incurred. 

Please make yourself familiar with how your country charges tax on items purchased worldwide. We have no way of knowing individual taxable rates for every country worldwide.
