Number One Magazine.

Cover: Madonna

There is some uncertainty regarding this magazine amongst serious collectors of Madonna covers ( like ourselves ) as to whether this is actually Madonna's first-ever major magazine cover ( excluding Island of course )

This issue is dated one month prior to what is largely considered to be Madonna's first cover of I-D Magazine. ID magazine is dated March/April. Some say it is possible that ID came out in February. It is likely that with it being a March and April issue, it was released in March. This would make this issue of Number One Madonna's first cover. 

It is open to debate.
