The Telegraph Magazine - Police Ad DON MCCULLIN Skid Row
The Telegraph Magazine

An interesting find. Over the years we have spotted around various advert used as a campaign for police recruitment. These would use an image by the photographer Don McCullin in a crime or victim situation. Includes a full page image as shown.
This two page advert discusses thoughts and compassion towards the homeless and vulnerable. The image used isa what we would call an outtake from the story which featured in the Sunday Times Magazine several years earlier. The story was called 'Crisis on skid row' of which a copy can be found here. The extremely well known image of this gent features in the original issue, book publications and exhibitions held worldwide. However we have not seen this image before.
We can not be certain that it has never appeared in book form as we do not possess all of his books. But this is the first time we have seen this image and this campaign.
Condition: Good. The main cover has some surface wear from storage
